Sports Drink Enthusiasts Have a New Membership Platform: Gatorade iD
 
The Gatorade Company, a division of PepsiCo, announced the launch of its first loyalty program, which is targeted to engage consumers who choose sports drinks. The rewards program can be found on the brand’s free membership platform, Gatorade iD. Earned points—10 points on every $1 spent online or in-store on select products—can be redeemed for discounts. Members can earn up to 5,000 points/month through purchases, referrals to the program, and opting into emails from the brand.
 
“Gatorade has a very loyal consumer base of athletes, so to start, we want to celebrate that loyalty and offer exclusive perks to those athletes,” said Drew Palin, Senior Director of Marketing at Gatorade. “In addition, we know through our athlete insights that athletes are willing to share personal information with a brand if that means they receive a more custom experience. This new rewards platform will be mutually beneficial to ensure members are served an experience that meets their needs.” 
 
Gatorade seeks to engage younger customer demographics with personalized offers. Members of the Gatorade iD platform can also enjoy free shipping, early access to new product offerings, personalized gear, and more.

QSR Chain Long John Silver’s Reveals New Loyalty Program and App
 
Long John Silver’s released a new loyalty program, Seacret Society, in tandem with its mobile app launch. Customers may sign up on the brand’s website or via the new app (available in the iOS App Store and on Google Play). Through the app, Seacret Society members can access the quick-service restaurant chain’s menu and place orders, as well as earn and redeem points.
 
“As we continue to evolve the Seacret Society rewards program, we look forward to delighting our members with even more surprises and rewards,” said Jason Antony, LJS’s Director of Digital Marketing. “We invite seafood lovers nationwide to join the Seacret Society today and set sail on a culinary journey filled with excitement and delicious sea-prises.”
 
Members of the Seacret Society will receive four “coins” for every dollar spent on the brand’s menu items. To mark the occasion of the app and program launch, new members will be presented with a free menu item. Limitations apply.
