Salesforce has rolled out its Agentforce Sales app for ChatGPT, bringing AI-powered CRM functionality into the hands of sales reps — right inside their conversations. The integration, announced yesterday, connects Salesforce data with OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help sellers prioritize leads, update opportunities, and generate account plans without switching apps or tabs.
The idea is to eliminate what Salesforce calls the “toggle tax” — the friction of jumping between tools — by allowing users to ask ChatGPT questions like “Show me my uncontacted leads” or “Update this opportunity to Closed Won,” and get real-time results powered by Salesforce data. The app doesn’t just provide information — it also acts, automating tasks like reassigning leads or drafting strategic plans.

Beyond productivity gains, the app is designed to work securely. It runs on Salesforce’s Agentforce Trust Layer, meaning it respects existing permissions and ensures that proprietary customer data stays governed within Salesforce standards. The Agentforce Sales app is now in open beta for eligible Salesforce customers through the ChatGPT app directory.
“With this app, we’re meeting sellers where they already work,” Kris Billmaier, GM and EVP of Agentforce Sales at Salesforce said in a release. “It’s not just chat — it’s action.”
