Second annual awards program recognizes outstanding Veterans Service Officers
PLANO, Texas, November 07, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) announced five winners of its second annual Veterans Service Officers (VSO) Excellence Awards, which shines a spotlight on well-deserving VSOs who use Tyler’s applications to process and submit benefit claims to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The VSOs recognized this year provide exemplary service to those who have served in our nation’s armed forces, helping veterans more easily access all the benefits they have earned through their military service.
“Tyler is honored to recognize the winners of our second annual VSO Excellence Awards,” said Brian Combs, president of Tyler’s Platform Solutions Division. “We were extremely impressed by the award submissions we received this year, which detailed the true impact these VSOs have on the lives of veterans and their families. Tyler is honored to support and recognize these dedicated public servants with software applications to help them more effectively serve those who have selflessly served our country.”
The VSO Excellence Award winners are:

Exceptional Outreach: Outagamie, Winnebago & Calumet Counties Veteran Service Offices, Wisconsin.
These counties brought together more than 700 veterans and their families for the Veteran and Family Symposium, the largest veteran event in Wisconsin’s history. The event offered a wide range of engaging services, support resources, and inspiring speakers. The team leveraged Tyler’s VetraSpec solution to provide on-site assistance to veterans for documentation processing, claim status checks, and general inquiries.

All-Star Community Advocate: Eric Sanders, Muscatine County Veteran Affairs, Iowa.
By leveraging Tyler’s VetraSpec software, Eric streamlined the claim processing and increased benefits payouts by more than 30%. His advocacy efforts extend beyond his county, playing an instrumental role in the passage of Iowa Senate File 2430, which benefits Vietnam War veterans. Eric’s commitment to veteran support is also evident in his community engagement, public speaking, and successful advocacy for a combat-wounded Vietnam veteran’s long-overdue Purple Heart.
