Entries open for Customer Excellence Award

Entries are now open for the Customer Excellence Award at the EDP Business Awards 2025.

The Customer Excellence Award focusses on the importance of exceptional customer service delivered at the highest level.

Greater Anglia is once again sponsoring the award, with head of corporate affairs Jonathan Denby detailing how important customer service is to the success of a business.

“We believe that high standards of customer service are central to the success of any organisation and they are at the heart of our own strategy,” Mr Denby said.

“It was evident from the 2024 finalists and winner that many Norfolk businesses place excellent customer service at the heart of their strategies for success and are committed to providing a consistent, high-quality service for their customers or clients.”

There have also been improvements to train services and the launch of Greater Anglia’s Customer and Community Improvement Fund, which has seen 34 projects focussed on locally-driven priorities implemented across its network.

All of this and more has seen Greater Anglia win the Operator of the Year title at the National Rail Awards, Rail Business Awards and the Spotlight Rail Awards.

When it comes to customer satisfaction, Mr Denby says judges will be looking for businesses that demonstrate a “proactive and effective customer service strategy that is delivering excellent customer satisfaction results”.

“We’ll also be looking for evidence that the company regularly goes the extra mile for customers and that customer service is at the heart of everything it does – including employee training, development and rewards,” he said.
